I grew up on a cattle farm in central-western NSW with four brothers and sisters, a poddy calf named Marshmallow, a rooster named Romeo, and a cubby in an old apricot tree.
Our nearest school was an hour away and I did some of my schooling by correspondence (ie at home, with my mum as the teacher and principal) and at boarding school! I spent my days exploring the bush, planning treasure hunts and shows, writing in my journal, and reading magazines, newspapers and books... lots and lots of books.
I've worked with words and pictures ever since, first as a journalist and photographer, and now as a content creator and children's author.
Over the years, I have contributed to a range of leading magazines and newspapers, including The Sydney Morning Herald, Herald Sun Home Magazine, House of Wellness, and The Daily Telegraph. I have worked as a court reporter, features writer and production editor, but my favourite topics to write about include gardening, interiors, art and design, wellbeing and books.
An internationally published children's author, my picture books include the CBCA Early Childhood Notables The Little Things and Me & My Boots, and the
best-selling Extraordinary.
I now live in the Yarra Valley with my partner and two children, our dogs Winnie and Pico, Gloria the cat, chooks Iggy Peck, Rosie and Ada Marie, and books... lots and lots of books.
